With a passion for building relationships across the globe, Mark brings 15 years experience as a business development strategist in global financial markets where he delivered the strategies and tactical development plans that have driven millions of dollars in capital growth.
Mark’s understanding of intergovernmental relations in the United States, corporate sales strategies for top end positioning of brands globally, and export/import compliance regulations adds another unique component to the YBG business.
Prior to joining YBG Group Mark drove business development in the logistics and wine industries and led a private equity firm’s EB-5 immigrant visa program where he was responsible for analyzing and advising on government contracting opportunities in renewable and alternative technologies. While working for a prominent West Coast public relations firm, he directed the global product launches for clients in the technology, bioscience and life science sectors, for the express purpose of acquisition by Fortune 500 companies.
A native Californian with global experience, Mark works out of the YBG Group Los Angeles office allowing the company to expand their footprint into the United States as well as continue to build out networks in Asia, Central and South America. His primary role is driving business development activities for YBG Group and our Investments into our Brands & Operating Units. He is currently spearheading projects ranging from financial instrument based transactions, commercial property acquisitions as well as digital media and sports clubs acquisitions. Along the way, he also provides due diligence for the team on various luxury goods for investors.
He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Redlands, and a Bachelor’s Degree from San Diego State University/California State University in Economics and Political Science. An active member in his community where he enjoys outdoor recreational activities such as golf, sailing, archery and biking, Mark also finds the time to work with regional and international non-profits dealing with economic development, health, education and cultural exchanges.
